A bold year indeed! A good amount of Piano Tuning between or within tours & festivals.
I do get confounded when my dear near royal singer/ pianist Hester Fraser ala Goldheist faces quite the difficult path into festivals when I know all (of you) are suitably gobsmacked to see & hear her perform and yes, I get the blessing of soaring with her melodic charm into good heart & stratospheric wonder. Why that misses a number of the festival selectors is a case of intrigue. So instead I lead her to the folk who have supported the truly adventurous musicians/ performers I’ve brought with over these last decades from Glen Innes right around to Adelaide!
I soooo respect the rural stalwarts of music appreciation from Mallacoota in the golden (if slightly charred) corner of Oz and then go North or West to such delights as Queenscliff off Melbourne or Murrurrundi below Tamworth! Priceless art filled realms!
This year we had last minute additional concerts from folk who came to the 2026 Jan Supper Club @ Tamworth, providing eventually 7 new performance spaces from NSW South Durras Garden of Jules & Pete through to a delightful church hall in Wonthaggi VIC !
Alas a rain deluge up near Bathurst cancelling one gig, which then immediately got swapped out to 3 Piano tunings from folk who had planned to come to the concert anyway! Boy there are quite the rural hideaways north of Bathurst, but I know, they are everywhere! Tis great to see them up close from time to time!

Managed to bump into Kate Hunter in Milton to hug & hold after the passing of her partner and Canberra’s music legend Tony Hunter. 🙁
