QLD - Clermont's Clinic at Woodford Folk Festival was a resounding success with many folk managing to have their wide assortment of performing/ playing difficulties attended to - most generously "assisted" by legend Shenzo Gregorio and return of Lucy Kammerman from Adelaide Scottish Fiddle Club ! | Day 1 Scottish Trad to Improv | Day 2 Blues into your Finger tips followed after midnight by a "Musical Mayhem" Concert @ Bob's Bar| Day 3 Bluegrass - It's not all about speed, but it could be! | Day 4 Jazz and it's relative friends | Day 5 Rock to Stratospheric | Day 6 Closing Concert with Teachers to give a right royal heads up of what you can head towards ! For the closing concert I had discovered by double random luck a wonderful Mexican pianist by chance as a replacement performance at The Parlour - Miguel Calderon. Well he was the perfect "wild card" in the team and Stuart Batten at the Halcyon Stage connected our dots masterfully with his classy mixing! |
